A "mimetic" keypad is a keypad that is part of the keyboard.
Maybe the NumLock key was off. :)

What's a "mimetic keyboard"?  (Sounds like something from "T-2".)

Any time filePro needs to wait for user input, it will force a screen 
refresh, even if you have used VIDEO OFF in processing.  So, unless the user

is typing so quickly that she is keeping ahead of filePro, I have no idea 
why the screen wouldn't be updated.
