screen flicker problem

I have a couple more vague hints, based on my understanding of what's
going on behind the scenes in Windows 7.

1) Bring up the Control Panel, then System. See the numeric "Windows
Experience Index". Click on the link. You'll see a rating for "Desktop
performance for Windows Aero" and a "3D business and gaming graphics
performance". I would think the former would be most applicable. This will
at least be a point of comparison between machines.

2) Windows 7 can optionally build graphics windows offscreen (in memory),
and the "blt" them to screen hardware. This MIGHT be related to the "Aero"
feature. (Another visible effect of Aero is seen by doing WindowKey-Tab,
like doing Alt-Tab; Aero gives a 3D, semitransparent effect.) My thinking
goes like this: If the graphics is slow, and Aero is on, it might be sped
up by turning the Aero feature off. I believe there is a way to do this,
but I don't know where right now.

3) If you go to search the web for solutions, remember, filePro is NOT a
DOS application it is a "console application".

Hope this helps.
