New lenses in both eyes.

A basic problem with my eyes is that they are much deeper or longer than
normal, my left about 32mm while the norm is about 23. My left eye before
correction was -19.5 diopter correction and my right about -15 (where's Bob
Stockler when we need him :-). Getting accurate measurements at the
extremes, and lenses to match is difficult. Getting in the ball park, and
making the final adjustments with glasses is just fine by me. I've been
wearing glasses since I was 5 years old, and not having them on is strange.

BTW: For some reason a couple of folk's list subscriptions were suspended
due to too many bounces of John's messages with the message that the
message contains ``banned word''. I can't for the life of me figure out
what was in his message that any sane filter would consider banned. The
system banning both was vegena.net (which could be misspelled to a banned
word -- think the vegena monologue :-).

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of
one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that
oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the
beginning if it is to be stopped at all. -- H. L. Mencken
