The difference between "command" and "cmd", as I remember it, is 16-bit vs
32-bit.

If your system has 'cmd', you should be using it unless you have really
good reason not to.

Both will see drive mappings identially, although they may inherit
different %PATH% configurations, potentially.  (I say "may" because I
honestly don't know, and I suppose anything is possible.  I -thought- that
%PATH% is set globally through the Windows configuration for environment
variables, however--although 'command' may still honour autoexec.bat.)
