That's pretty much the same conclusion I reached trying iSSH and
TouchTerm on my iPod Touch. They're basically useless for much
of anything other than typing simple commands at the prompt.

This is an issue with any touch screen or device with limited
keyboard. iSSH and TouchTerm provide the ability to send
function, control, and other special keys, but it's not pretty.
Using an Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 on an iPad with
iSSH gets around some of these problems, but not all as control
and ESC combinations aren't available via the public APIs. This
might not be an issue on the Droid.
In summary, I find the ssh/xterm Apps on the iPod Touch/iPhone to
be virtually worthless because of the screen size and keyboard
limitations. They're more useful on the iPad with its much
larger screen, but I still find the FilePro usage less than ideal
because of termcap problems.
