The image of the LJ3 is correct. I can't get to the LJ2.
It occurs to me that in that time the "p" models were introduced; i.e.,
LJ2p ... LJ3p. The LJ2 image might have been a LJ2p. They were considerably
less expensive that the originals. You do get what you pay for, I guess.
They were cheaper versions of the real thing.
As I recall, when the 3p came out, it had some new technical features
not in its bigger brother. The construction was still inferior.
But as Bill pointed out, even though the LJ4 wasn't as solid as the
LJ3, it was solid where it mattered, and after 15-18 yrs, many many of
them are still in service.
Now, the LJ4L was junk.
