Subject: Sales and The new version 5.06.08 Problems

I'm trying to install the new version 5.06.08
that support and sales said might fix the problem of exiting from filepro
improperly.
and my user count goes over the limit then all users are lock up and can't
work until
I reboot the Linux machine, Then all my licenses will be free to use. The
server still thinks the user is on
when they lose connection with the server. That is exiting improperly and
may not be the user fault or control.
so I down loaded the file and followed the direction and get this error.

Had this problem on a windows machine with 5.6.07. Part of the problem was
users on terminal server not logging out but letting their connection
disconnect with FP sessions open.

Support suggested shutting down the license sever and then restarting it.
This operation did not stop anyone's running session but temporarily kept
anyone form starting an fp session. Since stopping the service and
restarting it took just a under a minute, this was a minor inconvenience.

We did increase the user count from 20 to 25, just in case. They have also
instructed all of their outside users to log off properly.

One think to keep in mind, filePro is rather forgiving of these disconnects.
What we found was that we could kill a suspended session without crashing
filePro. Now, keep in mind the outside users would only be updating a
record or more than likely just looking at a record. I am not advocating
killing a session for someone who is doing data entry and may have
disconnected in the middle of entering a lengthy order.
