    The copy I sent to the filePro list, though, did come through just a
couple of minutes after I sent it.

     The easiest thing to do is to get filePro Transfer (fPxfer).  You will
need both the DOS and Unix versions.  Then, depending on how the machines
are connected, you have several options as far as how to transfer the files.

     Xfer comes with a little brochure, and there are numerous previous
posts on this list explaining how to use Xfer.  Just search for the key word
"xfer" in the archives.

     There are some things you need to be aware of, such as upper and lower
case problems, because DOS wasn't case sensitive. Also, you have to watch
for "SYSTEM" calls in the code.  In addition, check the pathing in the
menus, especially in any menu scripts.
