Anyone using ghostpdl (formerly ghostpcl) to generate pdf or fax tiff3g from pcl,

I have started using the openSUSE build service and just made new packages of ghostpdl-1.54 for opensuse 10.3 to 11.1, i586 and x86_64 for each.

You can download rpms directly, or you can just add the repository as an install source in yast and then select the ghostpdl and ghostpdl-font packages from the list.

You can add the repository and then install a package in two commands without needing to go into yast interactively. Example for 10.3, same for either i586 or x86_64:

zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/aljex/openSUSE_10.3 Aljex
zypper in ghostpdl

And check it:
foo:~ # pcl6

This build has all the X11 junk removed and has tiff3g added, and the included pcl2fax script outputs data that hylafax does not have to translate or convert at all to fax it so theres no wasted cpu.

src rpms are there too which includes the source and the patches if you want the tiff3g but need to build on some other dist.
