Hi John,

I see from this page:
   http://www.pure-mac.com/iphone/remote.html
that there are a few programs in this camp already. I haven't tried any of
them, and I don't know their limitations. Some indicate they are
appropriate for command-line operations only - so you may be able to do a
'ps' list, but not run a filePro application.

Besides the questions of financial payoff and difficulty of porting, I
have always had these issues with very portable devices:

1) Is the screen big enough? Does an application require that you be able
to see 80 columns by 24 rows at once in order to be effective? Would
character be readable? Would a smaller screen work? Would pan-and-zoom
   be workable?

2) What keys are available, and what are necessary? If the only keyboard
is on-screen, does it include an Esc? An F1? A shift-f12? a Delete?

What I HAVE done is run Anzio on small actual-Windows-based units, like
the Sony UX. I've also been seeing lots of ads for a Panasonic PCS-U1,
although it may not be shipping yet. These units have a 4x6 inch screen
(or so), wireless of several kinds, and a small keyboard. They might
actually be usable. And because the run standard Windows, I don't have
dedicated development work to do.

Another possibility: maybe there is a remote-control application (like
VNC) that could connect to a Windows machine that was running Anzio.

Bottom line: show me the money.
