xfer

Any guesses why xfer would, without showing any error, only
put the requested filepro file directories and their map files,
and no other file components, into it's output?
(ie: no screen, prc, key, etc...)

Host is Solaris 9 on sparc, fp and xfer are both 5.0.13.

It doesn't matter if I Just run xfer and navigate it manually
or if I use the command line options to run it non-interactively.
It doesn't display an error messge or warning indicating any
problem. It runs and exits, apparently normally.

I have verified the contents in the output file by looking at
it directly, so it's not, say, that the receiving xfer is not
extracting those parts.

Are there any debug options for xfer?

In fact, is there even a full docuentation of it's
options anywhere?
I found sample commands in a faq and the manual but that was
just a sample command that didn't explain what the various
options did or why they were used. It's not actually as
obvious as it seems, take the examples below, to export:

The faq on hvcomputer says:
xfer -lf <output file> -t <filepro files...>

The manual on fptech.com says:
xfer -t -pn -lf <output file> <filepro files...>

Sure, since the corresponding import command uses -r in place
of -t, then probably -t is transmit and -r is receive. That's
obvious and fine.
But is -lf say, "local file" and -lf is all one option,
or is it really -f file and -l is some other option or modifier?
And in any event, what is -pn ? Both examples work (on other
boxes), so, Mystery option.
