OT: email problem

I know this is for filepro but many of you are expert in email type
problems.
One of my friends called me Saturday with on odd email problem.
Windows XP home addition Outlook 2003.
Two logins to system.
ISP Comcast (no help for their support)
Problem:
With his login, his Outlook sends and received emails without a problem.
His wife's email, same computer, her login, the email has stopped working.
The error message is that a connection to the server could not be made SSL a
problem.
Her configuration appears to be correct.
Incoming mail: mail.comcast.net
Outgoing mail smtp.comcast.net
Password was deleted and re-entered.
The email account is active as we can log into the account using web mail
option on Comcast's website.
A ideas or suggestions as to what can be wrong.
