Walter,

This laptop sits in my kitchen and is used only to surf the web through a
wireless card. It is plugged in to an AC outlet as the battery is too old
and will last about 30 minutes. As this machine was given to me, I am not
planning to replace the battery. It makes more sense to replace the laptop
with an inexpensive one for about 499.00. With my subscription to MS, I
have all of the software I need to upgrade anything missing that I might
want to put on the machine.
