OK,
Did some checking on the web and found that older versions of most
variations of Linux have been installed on the T23.
I downloaded firmware updates as I don't recall if I did these when I was
given this machine last year.
I'll have to check these and if necessary update the bios and disk firmware.
There is a boot CD iso I download to check and update the hard drive
firmware.
Once this is done, I'll try again.
Mark, thanks again for the suggestion.
One other thing they suggested, and I will do it again, run the disk check
of the CD prior to doing the install. One site even suggested burning the
iso at 4X speed.
