I started getting this error when I migrated to Openserver 6. SCO "never
heard of it". I'm on 4.5 as well. It happens intermittently during
inquire, indexing, reports, etc. Basically at any point, and not
related to any (non-existent) devices at all.

After much trial and error, it seems that (for me) this "may" be caused
by having too many users on the systems. I have solved it by either
getting users off the system, or shutting down if users do not log off
properly and showing people how to really log off.

Good luck.
