Something must have fixed it?  I hate those kind of solutions as much as I
hate those kind of problems.  God knows we all have had our share of them.

Now that the system is operational, you might want to take a good look at
the log files and try to identify root cause.  If the OS log files reveal
nothing, I think fpTech should jump in and try to make sense of it.

Think about it!  You were about to undergo the things we fear most:
a) Full restore
b) Full reinstall
c) No guarantee of the end-results

A simple reboot fixed the problem ... but still no clue as to what caused it
and much less of an idea if we know that it will not happen again.

I think it might be worth your time to do a little digging around and see
if you can find a "real root cause".
