The next step is to make interactive processes using multifunctions that can 
scan.
Demand a pretty drawing, scan it, remark upon it, "It's not very pretty but 
, sniffffff ahhh, you get points for the perfume"...

Wouldn't fit on the 12 character displays but I'd probably have used some 
variant of "REPLACE  SQUIRREL"

I was actually playing around with our phone displays the other day just 
using the systems normal software.
These days lots of things have programmable displays.
