It certainly IS set on a properly configured unix system if the filepro data
resides on a mounted filesystem other than "/"
It is possible to mostly get away with pretending there is no such thing as
other filesystem mount points on unix, but thats not the most correct way
and not everything works perfectly when you do that. You're basically not
informing filepro the most truthfully about it's environment, and so filepro
doesn't always do the most correct or efficient thing when following it's
internal rules for searching out it's parts. Most things still work though
so you incorrectly assume there is no problem.
The rule is simple.
These examples include a dummy site password just for utter unambiguity, you
may omit.
If filepro is in /u/appl (/u/appl/fp, /u/appl/filepro)
And if /u is a filesystem mount point
Then the correct fppath file looks like this:
--------------
/u/appl
/u
/appl
JfvJTFkj:LkNH
--------------
If /u is just a directory in "/" then fppath looks like this:
--------------
/u/appl
/u/appl
JfvJTFkj:LkNH
--------------
