Can I get a DeskJet 842C to sign a letter from filePro?

Most deskjets speak PCL3, although, of late there are many that are
windows only. But let's assume that the 842 is a PCL printer.
The theory would be that you set the foreground color to blue just
before you print the sig and then back to black after it is printed.
Have a look at the printcode table for the hp-2250, where code numbers
in the 80's enable color text. If you are lucky, the foreground color
for text will come through for the bitmap. It will work on some
printers and not others.
There are special considerations on imaging a bitmap on a PCL3 printer.
Go to my website and download the manual for MKPCL. The read the last
part about filepro and particularly the section on deskjet printers.
