| Hi,
|
| Version 5.6.6 SCO 5
|
| Does anyone know why there is a copy of "freechin" in the "fp" directory as
| well as where it has
| alwyas bgeen in the "fp/lib" directory? The one in "fp" is older by a year
| or so and smaller by a few k.

Well, I say it's spinach; at the very least it's a profusion of confusion:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 appl sys 944392 Apr 12 2006 ./fp_v5.0.15K1D4/freechain
-rwsr-xr-x 1 appl sys 340468 Nov 16 16:26 ./fp_v5.0.15K1D4/lib/freechain
-rwxrwxrwx 1 appl bin 944392 Apr 12 2006 ./fp_v5.6.06D4/freechain
-rwsr-xr-x 1 appl bin 954336 Oct 17 10:59 ./fp_v5.6.06D4/lib/freechain

I assert that the "correct" versions should be the ones with proper
permissions: not writable except by user filepro, and set to run suid
filepro.

The newest of the three binaries is 1/3 the size of the others. but that
newest one is in the older release.

Well, it's cocktail time, maybe a nice vodka will clear the neurons...
