There are no postal codes that are longer than the USPS nine digit zipcode
that I am aware of.

That is Correct the Country name must be spelled out on the last line and it
is supposed to be in capitol letters.

We use a standard text field for this as there are not always 2 letter
abbreviations like the US / Canada.
