ISO has standard lists of country codes, both 2 and 3 character.  ISO 3166.

All phone numbers are required to be 15 digits or less; the first 1, 2
or 3 are the country code, commonly written with a leading +, the
remainder in-country, and there's no standard rule for internal
separation.  Note that 15 *digits* does *not* include punctuation.

UK has postal codes similar to Canada.  Many other countries do as
well, but no standards.  Check, I think, USPS Pub 25 (or their other
publications on addressing international mail.

They want spelled out country names on the last line of the To address,
in my experience.

Province/Urbanization/half a dozen other names.

It's not an easy field.
