Hello all!

A couple of weeks ago I posted my intend to work on a website which could
be used as a community repository and knowledge base. Well, I think I have
made a great deal of progress and would like to, once again, ask of your time
to help highlight its good, bad and ugly ...

Unlike my original post, the site is now mostly functional (over 90%). I have
changed its looks and feel. I have added a couple of new features which
I thought could be fun to have.

Some of the features in the site are:

(1) Community Links
  - A place were everyone can list his/her website and or business site

(2) Code Snippets
  - A code repository where everyone can post sample code for others to use
reference or simply reflect on possible command application ... Here,
the community can also attach comments to code where follow-up can be made
bringing to light suggestions, changes, etc.

(3) Events
  - An user friendly calendar where the community can post up and coming events

(4) Knowledge Base
  - An incredibly easy to use search engine with lots of built-in features. As
of now, able to search by 'keywords' as entered when articles are submitted but
with the ability to expand on that.

The knowledge base allows for comments to be attached to submitted articles
and displays these comments as you view article's content. It can be made user
driven but I want to keep it as open as possible so that those that rather not
register, still have the opportunity to share with the community as a whole.

Check it out, submit a few articles and then test the search function and let me
    know how it works !!!

(5) Who' Who
  - Register and have the opportunity to have the community know more about you and
your business. Here, we can all easily find a filePro programmer anywhere in
the world and determine if his/her area of expertise is of interest ...

I think this is a great marketing tool for each of us.

(6) Market Place
  - I would like this area to be used as a marketing tool where members can list
their repertoire and offer it to the community. With a tool such as this, we can
all act as agents to one another thus expanding our markets and sale force without
    the added overhead.

Mark had pointed out the need to allow authors the ability to review, edit, delete
things they submit, this is something I am working on and should have it written over
the next few days (or couple of weeks).

Really guys, this is something we should all take advantage of and make it a place
where we can go back to and find that 'code' or 'answer' that proved to be so useful
a few weeks, months, or years back.

I have tested site using FF and IE and all looks well. I can tell you that it is NOT
appealing if you have a low resolution settings on your monitor (it looks very good if
set to 1024 x 768).

I thank you all in advance for your time and hope to hear from you soon!

Regards,
