OT: cd's again... one last question....

Just one question. Who in the world would spend hundreds of dollars for a
device to write over CD/DVD's just to render them unreadable???? I'm in the
wrong business if this scam can be pulled over the eyes of anyone.

I mean, it takes 3 minutes!!!! A pair of scissors and two or three cuts and
not even the fictional CSI guys could put that data back together. As for
the possibly dangerous "stuff" that might come out and get into the
environment... laugh.... that is all I can do. The thickness of these
things is so slight that if you hold 50 CD's up to a light and look through
them across the plinth, they are essentially clear. Whatever leaks out... if
it leaks at all... something I hardly believe... I can't imagine it
affecting anything, anywhere... unless perhaps, everyone in the world
started cutting up there CD's at once.... in the same place.... :-) But
then, if people are going to believe something like global warming... there
likely to believe anything, huh?

Yes, I think global warming is a crock Please don't send me the fractured
"scientific" studies which cause you to believe otherwise.... the Earth will
take care of itself, no matter *what* we do to it. Thousands of H-bombs set
off simultaneously in all parts of the globe wouldn't even trouble it... a
short, half life from then, everything would be back to normal with
cockroaches running the local governments just as now
