How to browse lookup exact match?

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to display related records from one file in a browse lookup
window of another file and I'm having some trouble. I want the browse
window to only show items that are an exact match, but I can't seem to
figure out how to do this. If I use the flags -nxm on the lookup it returns
matches and partial matches. If I use lookup with the -nx flags or no flags
it returns every record in the file starting at the first match.
Does anyone have any suggestions? We are running filePro 5.0.14 on Linux.
Forget, about redesigning the files as this is a legacy system and a
redesign would take much too long.
Here are some more specifics.
FILE #1 - PART QUOTE HISTORY
Field #3 = part #(19,allup)
Record #1: part #=2850FT
Input Processing
----------------
aa(24,allup)=3;
lookup inp=reqform k=aa i=a -nxm b="(brw=13,13,-1 xkey=maodxc
fill=asc,top)[PO #...
FILE #2 - PART PURCHASE HISTORY
Index A = part number ascending (24,allup), po # ascending(15,allup), due
date ascending(6,ymd)
Record #1: part #=2850FT
Record #2: part #=2850FT Potting
I don't want record #2 to display in the browse lookup window. This is one
example of many similar part numbering situations.
Thank you,
