Linux filePro problem

I knew exactly what was happening.  The intent of the alignment check 
was to pause the output after the first form and wait while the paper is 
adjusted and the user presses Y or N.

But since all printing is done by sending the output to a spooler, it 
will still pause, but nothing will print.  The printing never starts 
until the entire print job has completed.

When the older setups sent output to direct to the printer, this was a 
workable function, but not any longer unless you can dedicate a printer 
to only one person/function.

If I try to speak directly to the printer to make the alignment check 
work, the print spooler will not know I am using the device and will 
send output right over my print job.

I find it best to either use the spooling or you not.  But with 
multiuser systems, spooling is critical to contol output to the printer.

I apologize for rambling, but I thought if you had a question it might 
be good to supply more information for all the list collegues.
