bugs in the xls2csv program??

I would normally do this using Perl and the Excel and CSV CPAN modules.

We create Excel spreadsheets from filePro by creating CSV files and then
using the Spreadsheet::WriteExcel module and that works great.  I know
there are DBD modules for Excel and CSV so you may be best rolling your
own and being Perl it is going to run on *nix.

Just a thought.
