You can do a lot of programming in PCL, in order to achieve HPGL (main
file) on a PCL overlay, as long as it is printed on a PCL-5 printer. Or
you can reconsider your premise.

If you a) send your print jobs through AnzioWin, or b) set up a Print
Wizard Server Edition (PWSE) on a Windows box, you can:

a) Print PCL/HPGL, or plain text, or Print Wizard Markup Language (PWML);

b) on an overlay that is in format PCL, TIF, BMP, GIF, JPG, EMF, WMF, SPL,
or straight off a scanner;

c) on any printer, or to PDF, or to fax. If it goes to a PCL-5 printer,
the printer will handle the overlay macro; if not, our code will.

Since you already have some Windows PCs in the network, you can run PWSE
on one of them, as a Windows service (even if nobody is logged on), and
route its output back over the network to any printer, as long as Windows
can see it.

Don't work too hard...
