Unless you can get Jim Asman interested in them in which case they will do
anything :-).

The CUPSs support for Epson printers is generally very good.  I have
several Epson C84s running at customer sites on Linux and Mac OS X boxes
which do pretty much anything you want.

On the other hand, to get this type of support, CUPS generally wants to see
PostScript(TM) input.  There are text filters for CUPS, but I haven't
looked into them enough to see how they handle things like printer codes.
