SOCKET Error

SCO OSR6 - filePro 5.6.02D4

In the filePro file "email" in $PFPROG/fp/fputil/filepro,
when editing "prc.input" with dcabe and saving it I get:

  *** A filePro Wrror Has Occurred ***

  Line Number: 21

  MySocket = socket()
             ^
  Process contains a syntax error at position indicated.

MySocket is properly declared on the table, and the help
page for SOCKET indicates that family, type and protocol
are optional arguments and are ignored if given.

So what could be causing the error?

That same table on Windows XP Pro and filePro 4.6.01D9
passes the syntax checker with nary a whimper.
