I'm going to jump in this late and recount some of my past history.
At one time FP allowed the developer to purchase runtimes in blocks of fifty licenses for about $ 50
apiece. This allowed me to develop a program for VOLUNTEER fire departments at a very good price.
I then contracted with the State of Texas and FP to sell me 1000 runtimes for $10,000 which I could
use to send out 800 demo programs ( limited via programming to 6 entries ). I was then contractually
required to send them the additional $40 for each program I was then able to sell to a volunteer department.
This worked great until FP dragged their feet in developing a true Windoze version. It then became
almost impossible to convince the fire service that my FP was heads and shoulders above any Windoze
program in existence at that time. I eventually went out of business which cost both me and FP a
good revenue stream.
My long winded comment is that whatever is done, it should have the ability to sell multiple runtimes
at a fair price so the developer and FP make money.
