I believe that the upgrade should be relatively
painless from 4.8 to 5.0  

I would suggest that you make sure that you transfer
the global edits table and your config file from your
old machine.  Also, although this may not technically
be necessary, I would rebuild all of the indexes -
just to make sure they are built with the latest and
greates version.

If you have any shell scripts or external programs
that are called via "user" or "system" they will of
course need to be transferred also.  

You will need to set up your printers with the same
names as previously, or else re-configure them under
filepro's printer maintenance.

If you have an fppath file that contains a site
password, you will probably want to move that too.
