Well, a quick check of HP's website for the "Color LaserJet 2600n" (I
didn't see a "2600") shows:

    Print drivers, std.	    Host-based

(aka "brain-dead 'Windows-only' printer", though "Windows only" is
becoming a misnomer as manufacturers include drivers for Linux and
Macs.)

We use a Brother HL-5150D (a duplexing version of the 5150), which
has built-in PCL (I forget which version) and PostScript emulations.

A quick check shows Amazon selling the 5150D for $229.99
