Ahh. GL=\E12l4
Thing is, the entry I pulled from another system was using GL=\264 and that
was -also- doing it.
I removed the \264 and suddenly no more half-duplex, from a few tests of
it. Now the questions are:
What was GL supposed to do? I -thought- right vertical line, but they
still show up. So what did I just "break" while fixing the problem?

I had a dump ready to look at. The 'script' command is ultra-helpful
sometimes. :)
I still can't get it to tell me why it wants to resave my session. Hitting
cancel just makes the window vanish. It might be because I had it
close on disconnect? Maybe I'll try changing that temporarily to find out
if it changes things.
One down...I hope. depends what I 'broke'. :)

There is no "I" in TEAM.
This would be the primary reason I've chosen not to join one.
