Extending Files

If you want to expand onto another file system you can
use the "A - Expand Files" option. And type in
"Switch" when it asks for the number of records to
expand.
This will create the file name keyx1 and datax1 for
the second extent of your data. If you have
qualifiers then it will create key[qualifiername]x1
and data[qualifiername]x1
If you want to create these extents on the same file
system then you can create blank ones yourself and
filepro will automatically see them and start using
them the next time *clerk or *report etc. is loaded.
