I've been working extensively with SLES9 for several months now. We did
see some wierdness when installing the system from the CDs that Novell
provides for evaluation, but since we built an install server with their
Service Packs 1 and 2, we have built quite a few systems with no problems
at all.

When doing network installs from the unpatched CDs, we were seeing quite a
few packages that failed to install, never in any any predictable manner.
Since updating the install server with the service packs, we haven't had a
single problem.

One thing I did find interesting is that the kernel release level after
installing the service packages, 2.6.5-7.191-default, is lower than that on
the original, 2.6.5-7.193-default, if I remember correctly.
