Vi not recognizing terminal type

Lack of an entry in /etc/termcap.
at386 isn't exactly one of those "standard" ones I'd expect to be on any
stock system--especially Solaris.
Try setting to vt100, using vi to adjust what you need, and then set it to
your corrected entry.
I'd be very surprised if vt100 is not present.
