| | | What are you guys/gals using to create PDF documents from filePro
| | | applications?
| | |
| | | SCO Unix based ... !!!
| |
| | pcl6 .... does NOT handle the line-drawing characters that you might
| | use in your fP output table to draw lines or boxes. I'm still trying
| | to solve that one.
|
| And I have now solved it. An old called faxjet was provided with
| the long defunct Arnet faxboards. It does convert the line drawing
| characters. I had been using it solely for a customer who once did have
| an Arnet board, and thus had a license for this software.
|
| But now I find that the necessary shell scripts, binaries and support
| files are downloadable without so much as a by-you-leave from:
|
| ftp.digi.com/support/legacy/digi/utilities/digifax/released/2.8,I/faxjet.01z
EEEEE... make that
ftp.digi.com/support/legacy/digi/utilities/digifax/released/2.8/faxjet.01z
| Faxjet will convert a PCL file to a TIFF file, suitable for immediate
| faxing, or for further conversion with programs from libtiff, e.g.,
| tiff2pdf or tiff2ps.
