I suppose _if_ I wanted to read e-mail in HTML, rather than text as
$DIETY intended.  And _if_ I use an html e-mail viewer that is able
to render different fonts and colors (yes, _I_ happen to use such a
program, but some people do not), and I told it to display the HTML
code (opening my machine up to many security holes exploited by
spammers and phishers), then I would have seen it.

However, I (like many people) choose to display text only whenever
possible.  If you choose to post in HTML, you decrease the audience
that your message reaches.
