Definitely.
We've had hot-keys and listboxes in our app that pop up maps, directions, 
weather, traffic, etc... in our app for years now by building a url based on 
data on the current screen/record/invoice/etc... and winstarting it with 
facetwin or anzio. Started with mapquest but added google maps recently.
Google maps is the nicest maps yet. That interactive zoomer applet (in maps, 
not earth) is niiiice.
