A couple thing to do.
	1. Download the latest print drive from HP's web site. - Yes one came
with WinXP 
	2. As previously stated, change the destination to the printer name;
		a. Locally attached - Win: printer_name
		b. Network printer - \\computer_name\printer_name

The extraneous data may be either print control code or may be garbage graphic
characters.
