	Subject: Win Server Runtime Problems

I have a client using the runtime version of filepro on his windows
network. The boss on the server and one employee are all that use the files.
Something odd is happening, and I can't figure out why. Although working just
fine before, all of a sudden the menus on the server just sit there and blink at
you for every option (dclerk and dreport). The employee that is connected has
no problems.

I thought maybe the fp and filePro directories needed to be set to
share, but according to my notes, they did not need to be set up for sharing.

The only thing odd that I saw was that all the .prc files are noted
as "palm files" on the server -- but they still work just fine for the other
workstation.

The bosses son was working on the server since I was there last, but I
don't see that he did anything to block the filePro access.

Anyone got a clue what I should be looking for here?

	Thanks in advance

Linda,

You didn't say what os was on the "server". Is this a real server running
Window server 2003 or NT. Or is this a Windows XP or Win 98 Box acting as a
server?

The reason you are seeing the .prc files as Palm applications is that is what
the palm uses. You can manually change the association to filePro if you like.
But that would mean that the system would see palm app as filePro.

How many drives are on the server?

What is the drive mapping from the other computer?

Are you using the same batch file to start fp?

I would check the startup batch file for the "server" to make sure someone
hasn't messed with it.
