I included 2 examples that I actually bought myself right in that post.
Jabra BT250 - $70
Motorola HS-820 - $60
(I couldn't get either of those to work, but then again, others have.)

The list of similar devices in this price range is at least in the tens.
The list of manufacturers, who each have at least 2 or 3 models by now is at
least in the tens.
They are not specifically for use with a computer, they are for use with
anything that can use a bluetooth headset. Which is generally phones, pdas,
& computers. Yes, they have microphones of course! :)

Google "bluetooth headsets" and see that these things are all over the
place.
And the tranceivers to plug into your pc...
There are TONS of these things and they rarely go as high as $50

If I was getting a new tranceiver & headset today I'd probably get these:

http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=819
They are both Bluetooth 1.2 which means they channel hop over something like
70 or 80 channels at 1600 hops per second. (security and interference
avoidance) and another part of 1.2 is better audio quality due to better
codec and error correction.
And the iogear adapter for the pc is class 1 so it's radio can reach 100
meters. I don't know of any class 1 headsets but what the heck.
