And the word on the street is that Apple is going to buy Tivo.
Both Apple and Tivo deny this.
Predicting failure of companies that are in the single digit sales
is a pastime for many. But far too many companies have survived
for a great many years targetting a small buy loyal audience.
Exotic automobile manufacturers come immeidiately to mind when they
survive on 200 machines/per/year while those like Ford, GM, and
other often lose money when they make millions of units.
Jobs seems to have a remarkable ability to make money by doing
things other have not attempted. Besides Apple, his NeXTStep was
revolutionary and was making a profit before Apple hired him to
come back, and his Pixar product kept Disney in the black.
Watch the players and not the companies for which they work.
