I believe, Ernie, that you're taking me to task for being amusingly
pedagogic in a light-hearted attempt to remind people that it's much
easier to read their posts if they make use of protocols and procedures
that have been fine tuned over 20 years of existance of mailing lists.

My posting was neither unkind, nor unsupportive.

A good case could be made that the person failing to exert the effort
to trim their messages, and thereby wasting either our time or their
own (when we don't bother to read their message because it shows no
attempt to be polite to the lsit) is the one being unkind and
unsupportive.

But expecting people to be adults, and follow the simple rules, is
apparently too much to ask these days.
