How I -so- agree, there.

Yes, but there's a fine line between reasonable diligence and having to act
like the Thought Police are coming to get you.

And the closer we -get- to the point where it seems like they're going to
actually creat such beasts (*cough*Patriot Act*cough*), the finer that line
seems to become. I think there are at least some of us that fear that day,
rather than welcome it with open arms because, "It's for our own good, of
course."

Not that we particularly need a political discussion at the moment. :)

I'm just saying...I can see both sides. Personally, I think many external
events have caused a great many people to become utterly paranoid, to the
point of creating support systems for their paranoia that force those under
them to become yet more paranoid than those who rule them. And it won't
ease up until the external pressures do--which is likely never.

Whimsically, I'd say the world basically needs to go on Valium and
Haloperidol. Mrm...I know there was a Doctor Who episode, "The Pirate
Planet" in which they ended up with shrunken planets. I thought -that- was
a planet shrink. I think ours needs a slightly different variety at this
point. :) "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World."

Basically, we'd be okay if people would stop pilfering my supply of noids.
I had the corner on the market for a while, and now everyone seems to have
at least two of them. I'm running dry, here! It's a conspiracy to deprive
me of my noids! Any more of this, I'll need adenoid surgery...and I wanna
know who's going to pay the deductible! *looks around accusingly*

Smile...and lighten up. :)
