<snip discussion of filePro on Ubuntu>

From the department of topic drift...

It was by luck that I spent the weekend with Ubuntu. The Mono Project (open
source ASPDotNet) has a Live CD that uses Ubuntu instead of the expected Knoppix
[ http://www.mono-live.com/ ].

Their live CD seems to "just work" however, I'd recommed that you have at least
a 512 Meg machine rather than 256 or the 128 minumum. I have a 256 laptop and a
512 laptop, and it seemed to take seconds vs. minutes to fire up the various
example servers (actually the 256M laptop has a faster CPU).

The more I learn about this stuff it seems I have just not seen the lightbulb go
off in regards filePro interacting in this environment. It just doesn't seem
fair that I have to make a choice. Why can't the rest of the world get along
with filePro?
