For Me, with the client running 4.8 the solution was

export ascii header=(FD)
processing
close header
return

export ascii detail=(fd) -a
processing
return

and I put up with the Sharing Violation error message, Touch F and it
creates a file that has

ia,79,password,,,
ic,field1,field2,field3,field4,field5,field6,field7,field8,field9,field10,fi
eld,......field17
ic,field1,field2,field3,field4,field5,field6,field7,field8,field9,field10,fi
eld,......field17
ic,field1,field2,field3,field4,field5,field6,field7,field8,field9,field10,fi
eld,......field17
ic,field1,field2,field3,field4,field5,field6,field7,field8,field9,field10,fi
eld,......field17

Thanks for all the help and Ideas.

Now if could just get client to think ahead and have this done prior to it
being needed. .
