I first learned about the Social Security Ponzi scam when I was selling
insurance in 1965 (for Lennie Rosenberg's brother, Ted, which gives this a
very tenuous FilePro link :-).  It's never been anything but a nice
sounding way to suck money into the general fund where it's used to buy
votes from people who want others to support them.  The Social Security
``fund'' is nothing but a bunch of IOUs which obligate future tax payers to
repay the ``loans'' that went into the general fund.
