It is scary to be updating the indexes with dclerk 4.5 and building the 
indexes with dxmaint version 5.0.  4.5 is not able to handle any auto 
indexes built on multiple keys.  In that version, the fields had to be 
contiguous and the length increased to include all fields.  I am sure if 
you built an index on multiple criteria it would crash dclerk 4.5

There is no reason for this craziness - if you have installed dxmaint 
5.0 then you should also install dclerk/dreport 5.0

You are asking for all kinds of trouble by mixing filePro versions.  If 
you need to access data from 2 directions, they should be using similar 
filePro versions.
